EME Aero, one of the world’s most advanced aircraft engine service centers, is celebrating its fifth birthday. Located in Jasionka near Rzesz\u00f3w, the company has grown from a team of several people to an organization employing over 1,000 people, in the first few years of its operation, becoming one of the largest companies in the Podkarpacie region. Yesterday, together with the President of Rzesz\u00f3w city, Konrad Fijo\u0142ek, and the staff, the anniversary was officially celebrated. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

EME Aero is a joint venture of two world leaders in the aviation industry \u2013 Lufthansa Technik and MTU Aero Engines. In 2018, the construction of the aircraft engine servicing plant in Jasionka began. In parallel with the start of construction works, the recruitment and training of the first employees was carried out. Since the induction of the first engine on December 12, 2019, the plant has already completed over 500 service visits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We are proud of the achievements we have managed to achieve in the first five years. We started with a team of a few people, and now we employ over 1,100 people. On December 12, 2019, we inducted the very first engine in our shop, and to date we have delivered over 500 engines to customers \u2013 airlines around the world. In such a short time, we have become a key MRO shop in the global service network for Pratt & Whitney engines”. \u2013 emphasizes Robert Ma\u015blach, Member of the Management Board of EME Aero, Managing Director for Business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The remarkable journey of this company started in December 2019, with the induction of the very first engine. Now we are servicing around 250 engines annually. EME Aero is one of the largest and most modern service centers<\/strong> of Pratt & Whitney GTF aircraft engines<\/strong> worldwide. The state-of-the-art facility in Jasionka, Poland, carries out disassembly, assembly and testing and first began engine services for the PW1100G-JM in December, 2019. In 2022, EME Aero expanded its engine portfolio to include the PW1500G engine, followed by a third subtype, the PW1900G in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are delighted and proud of the success EME Aero and its over 1,100 employees have achieved in these first five years. They have fast developed to become a crucial, efficient and reliable member of the GTF MRO network,\u201d says Jaap Beijer, Senior Vice President Operations, MTU Maintenance<\/strong>. By 2026, the facility should have an output of 450 shop visits per year. \u201cAnd with the second test cell planned for completion mid-2025, the groundwork for even more future growth and support for GTF operators and customers has already been laid.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
