EME Aero with 1000 employees!

EME Aero, one of the world’s most modern aircraft engine service centers, celebrates hiring its 1000th employee. Less than 5 years after the completion of the plant in Jasionka, near Rzeszów, EME Aero has become one of the biggest in terms of employment in the Subcarpathian region. To mark this historic moment, employees planted a symbolic oak tree on the company’s premises.

From a team of a few people to an employment level of 1000 employees

EME Aero began construction of the aircraft engine service facility in June 2018.

At the same time as the start of construction work, the process of recruiting and training employees began. The first group of people joined EME in July 2018, and subsequent teams of several dozen people joined the company regularly every two months. A year and a half after the start of construction work, a modern and technologically developed plant was established in Jasionka, near Rzeszów, and the company ceremoniously inducted the first engine for service. Less than five years after that, EME Aero is celebrating the hiring of its 1000th employee and an operational capacity of several hundred service visits per year.

A new branch of the local aviation industry and growth within the Aviation Valley

EME Aero is part of a group of companies associated within the Aviation Valley. Joining the cluster in 2018, EME introduced a new competence to the local aviation market, which includes servicing aircraft engines. The range of services provided at the company has thereby complemented the developed aviation manufacturing sector in our region. EME Aero specializes in servicing, repairing and overhauling aircraft engines. The plant provides service for the latest generation of Pratt & Whitney engines for passenger aircraft.

Since starting operations, EME Aero has grown into a global market leader in GTF aircraft engine servicing. Unlike many companies that have had to downsize in the face of challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic, EME Aero has continued to recruit, maintaining operational efficiency and developing new competencies within the Subcarpathian Aviation Valley.

1000 employees on board and the company’s 5th anniversary coming up

Crossing the 1000-employee marks an important milestone in EME Aero’s development. This is a historic moment for us, and we are very proud of how we have evolved – from our first few employees and the start of aircraft engine service in the region, to having more than 1000 skilled professionals on board and the title of one of the largest companies in the Subcarpathian region. We have a fantastic team, and our business partners appreciate our contribution to the development of the global aircraft engine servicing network, emphasizes Robert Maślach, Board Member of EME Aero. This December we will be celebrating our five-year anniversary since the start of operations and the induction of the first engine for servicing. We are even more pleased that we will celebrate this success with more than a thousand employees on board, adds Robert Maślach.

Team development and continuing recruitment activity

The company is constantly recruiting for operational positions related to aircraft engine maintenance (such as Aircraft Engine Mechanic, Repair Mechanic, Test Cell Operator), as well as for administrative positions (such as in the areas of Purchasing or Customer Support). The EME Aero paid internship program directed to students is highly popular, and many interns continue their careers afterwards already within the company’s structures.

Each of our employees can participate in development and training activities, learn a language or develop through promotion opportunities provided by the organization, stresses Anna Faliszewska, Training & Development Campus Manager at EME Aero.  New employees participate in a training program we have developed, consisting of a language part (which prepares them to work with technical documentation) and a theoretical part (during which they learn the fundamentals of the engine). The final stage of initial training is the practical part, during which new employees learn about the engine and its modules, training under the guidance of internal trainers – experienced EME Aero employees and our Training & Development Team. The entire process takes place at the EME Aero Campus, which is our own Training Center, adds Anna Faliszewska.
